Terms of service

Effective from October 2026

1. Agreement

These terms govern use of Gateora, provided by Utkal Technologies Pvt. Ltd.. By creating an account or using the service you agree to them. If you use Gateora on behalf of an organisation, you confirm you are authorised to bind it.

2. The service

Gateora provides software for visitor registration, resident approval, gate entry and exit records, and related management tools. Gateora supports, but does not replace, the security arrangements, staff and judgement of each community.

3. Accounts and access

  • Keep sign-in credentials confidential and tell us promptly about any unauthorised use.
  • Subscribing organisations are responsible for inviting, verifying and removing their residents and staff, and for the roles they assign.
  • Emergency override permissions must be granted only to people trained to use them.

4. Acceptable use

You must not misuse the service, including by attempting to access data you are not authorised to see, interfering with its operation, reverse engineering it except as permitted by law, or using it to process data unlawfully.

5. Customer data

Subscribing organisations own the data they and their users put into Gateora and are responsible for having a lawful basis to process it, including giving visitors notice at the gate. We process it as described in our privacy policy.

6. Plans, fees and payment

  • Fees are as shown on the pricing page or in your order, in INR and exclusive of taxes.
  • Subscriptions renew automatically until cancelled.
  • If a payment fails there is a 14-day grace period, after which adding new communities, flats or staff is paused. Existing gate operations and data are not affected.

7. Availability

We work to keep Gateora available but do not guarantee uninterrupted service. Planned maintenance will be announced where practical. Offline gate mode, where enabled, is designed to limit the impact of connectivity problems.

8. Liability

To the extent permitted by law, we are not liable for indirect or consequential losses, and our total liability is limited to the fees paid for the service in the twelve months before the claim.

9. Termination

Either party may end the subscription as set out in the order. On termination, customers may request an export of their data within 30 days, after which it will be deleted according to our retention schedule.
